Why I Don't Believe In Reversing Insulin Resistance

There’s something happening in the diabetes space right now that I want to address directly. You may have noticed that some programs have stopped using the term "reverse diabetes" — because endocrinologists have made it clear that Type 2 cannot be reversed, only put into remission. So now those same programs are using a new term instead: "Reverse insulin resistance." I want to explain why this concerns me — and why the distinction matters for your health. ... [Keep the rest of your brilliant narrative separated by clean line spaces just like this] ... What a responsible Type 2 program actually does:

âś… Helps you maintain healthy blood sugar levels long term

âś… Gives you more energy consistently

âś… Minimizes or prevents long-term complications

✅ Builds lifestyle habits you can sustain for years — not just weeks

âś… Is honest about the role of medication when appropriate

✅ Works with your doctor — not around them

That's exactly what the Type 2 Pivot Groups are built around. If you are ready to stop looking for magic solutions and build a real system instead, join us for our live open training sessions.

MODULE 3

Finding Your System for Blood Sugar Control

Having explored the steps to cultivate the mindset and motivation for improvement and gained insights into observing and reflecting on setbacks, it's time to embark on developing YOUR SYSTEM for blood sugar control.

  • We all face challenges in managing our blood sugar, each for our own reasons. The good news is that change is on the horizon.
  • 8 0f 10 people get conflicting information about nutrition and i raises doubts.
  • Contrary to what you read online, the truth is that there is no one perfect diet for everyone.. Our bodies and life experiences and cultures are all different, requiring different nutrition needs
  • As people with Type 2 diabetes, we want to avoid many large glucose spikes, minimizing refined carbs, and simple sugars are a good start, and fiber and protein with each meal is essential.
  • ..
  • Beta cells are produced in the pancreas, and while they aren't permanently damaged in the early stages of type 2 diabetes, we can lose beta cell function as the disease progresses.
  • We will explore the benefits of weight loss, the most effective speed for achieving it, and the right exercises to help control blood sugar.

  • This phase emphasizes understanding the role of insulin resistance in elevated blood sugar levels and learning strategies to enhance insulin sensitivity through nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction.

The lesson concludes with a discussion on diet. While some diets may be more effective than others, the best approach is to enhance your current diet and notice your responses .rather than adopting a drastic change promoted elsewhere.

MODULE 4

Are Meds a Solution For You and Which Ones?

Meds may be necessary for many people with Type 2 Diabetes, for a variety of reasons. . I am frankly alarmed at those who guide people with type 2 and discourage meds, and suggest thatv metformin and ozempic are generally not good for you.As discussed already if you, like me, have had Type 2 for along time, you haven't always taken care of yourself as you should have.Fortunately with modern meds , applied appropriately it is much easier to regain great health as i have even though i have had diabetes for over 35 years, and in the past faced health challenges as a result, but i now have magically great health, You will learn all about the relevant meds for type 2 diabetes, and you wil be equipped with the knowledge to discuss with your endocrinologist.

  • Watch out though!. If you see a primary care physician you will likely know more than he/she will, which is why i strongly advise an endocrinologist.

MODULE 5

Is Ozempic or Jardiance Meds Appropriate for You

  • The most significant meds available over the last several years   are Glp1's like Ozempic and Sglt2 meds like jardiance and farziga..
  • Ozempic and other similar Glp1's not only help contol blood sugar and hence reduce insulin resistance, but they help with weight loss and heart disease, which are reater attention, observation, and reflection. You will begin to recognize patterns of what you eat, when you eat , when you walk and /or exercise. This is the phase where you’ll start to identify patterns and ask “What should I be doing differently?”. When we slow down and become more mindful about our thoughts and actions, we notice connections we didn’t before and can more clearly see what we can shift to get the outcomes we desire. During this phase, you will concentrate on understanding your relationship with high and low blood sugar levels. In week 2 of the course, you’ll focus on diligently logging your blood sugar levels, food intake, exercise, sleep patterns and other relevant data. The more detailed your entries, the better. Aim to journal at least 3-4 days throughout the week. The upcoming pages in this workbook are crafted to enhance your experience with the training videos. NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Joel Steinberg

I am 76 years old and i have had Type 2 diabetes for more than 39 years. I remember as a young adult, even before the concept of a1C became a tool to determine  blood sugar control, I would visit my dad in Florida. He had type 2 Diabetes, and i would check my blood sugar with his meter. i had an intuitive sense that i was prone to type 2 but in those days we lacked the knowledge of how to change things. i was concerned enough to know that blood sugar should return to normal levels 2 hours after eating .Mine took much longer even several years before being diagnosed via a1c. For several years i had no symptoms and it made it easy to ignore my blood sugar especially without the a1c blood test. being available. Eventually , after being diagnosed, i had a series of medical issues including bypass surgery, kidney issues, and neuropathy in my feet.

As a result of learning about everyting i guide you through, i am magically healthy, now. Although i do take care of my health, with diet, exercise , meditation, journaling etc I am not perfect, and i do not suggest that you should be either. i like to say that very few people are like Tom Brady who is self disciplined about his health, and mor people are like Oprah, who struggle too maintain control of her weight.

Aren't  most of us more like Oprah than Tom Brady?
