My Story — and Why I Created This Program
I’m Joel Steinberg, a 75-year-old who’s lived with Type 2 diabetes for over 38 years — and I’m remarkably healthy today.
But it wasn’t always that way.

In the early days, managing diabetes was confusing and lonely. My father had Type 2 and eventually needed dialysis and hospice care. Watching his struggles pushed me to learn everything I could — even before my own diagnosis.

I knew about A1C and blood sugar patterns before most doctors were even talking about them. But like many people, I avoided changes that felt disruptive to my life or family.
I tried. I failed. I faced complications over time — including heart, kidney, and nerve issues.

Thankfully, things have changed. Today, I’m thriving. And I created this program to help others feel confident, supported, and in control — without extremes or overwhelm.
